p zancudoLocated about 100 kilometers south of Golfito, it is a peaceful community inhabited mostly by fishermen who have slowly changed  over time to become tour guides due to the influx of numerous visitors who mostly love to surf. This beach is about 2 kilometers long and is famous for having one of the best places to practice surfing in all the Pacific Coast of Central and South America.   Here the waves have their highest peaks during the months of April to October.  During these months, famous surfers come here from all over the world. Besides surfing, visitors can take horseback riding tours into the rainforest to observe the flora and fauna or to jump into the fresh and clean rivers found here.  It is also an ideal place to sun bathe or to take enjoyable walks on the beach and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The people of this community have gotten together into Non-palmeras pavonesProfit Associations dedicated to conservation of the area such as the Program for the Conservation of the Marine Turtle, Whales and Cetaceans and the Tiskita Private Biological Reserve which is dedicated to the conservation of the flora and fauna with a special program dedicated to the conservation of the Scarlet Macaw, making this community an ideal location for scientific tourism.
