restauranteMar y Luna Hotel is a small tourist company that was started as a result of a couple’s dream.  They had few financial resources but were filled with the desire to make their dreams come true – they would take on the challenge and adventure and “make it grow till it reached the sky” as children will muse.  Twenty five years ago the only engineer they had was God and the investment capital had to be found.  That is how it all began and how it continues to grow.  From the moment one enters “Mar y Luna”, as the owners fondly call it, the visitor begins to experience living in a family.  Located near the ocean, the restaurant is rustic to fit the environment, and has a relaxing view that invites the visitor to disconnect from the outside world and just rest, read or carry on a relaxing conversation.  To this they add the warmth of their own family and the warmth of their collaborators with the characteristic kindness of the people of Golfito.  They do our best to show this to their clients so as to make their stay unforgettable.  As the hotel has grown so has their family, and with the same love that they started out with, they look to the future to keep improving, learning, and training on a daily basis, even when times have been hard on the tourist industry.  That way, the family, along with the personnel, keep alive this hotel that may be small in number of rooms, but large in providing excellence in caring attention.
